A map of the AWS stations located in Adelie
Coast and King George Land. Plotted here is the position of the iceberg B9B
since the break up of B9 over a decade ago. The
berg seems to be grounded near the Ninnis glacier.
Also, the map includes the AWS stations nearby. A
new AWS station located on the iceberg has been
proposed. The track of the USCG Icebreaker Polar Sea
during Deep Freeze '01 from Hobart, Tasmania to
McMurdo. Overlaying the track are the SAR satellite
swaths collected during the cruise.
